Two EnbioJet models

Reaching out to the market expectations, we have prepared the following two models of the ENBIOJET Microwave Flow Sterilizer for the Tissue Culture Laboratory sector:

  • EnbioJet STANDARD
  • EnbioJet SPEED

Both units are very efficient due to their primary property being the flow sterilization process execution. Due to equipping the EnbioJet SPEED version with a heat recovery exchanger, its performance was further increased, while energy consumption was significantly reduced.

All the EnbioJet units are adapted to media having increased viscosity caused by the presence of Agar and a high sugar concentration. However, sometimes it becomes necessary to enrich nutrient media with additional natural origin ingredients such as banana, potato, or other extracts. In such applications, it is often difficult to control the actual homogeneity of a nutrient medium - in practice, larger particles or secondarily developed aggregates of certain ingredients may occur. In such cases, we recommend to use the EnbioJet STANDARD version which is much more resistant to the inhomogenity of nutrient media and easier to clean.

EnbioJet Standard / Speed

Our experience shows that dosage rate is the most limiting factor as it practically does not exceed 3 l/min (for a single dose of approx. 100 ml) so the EnbioJet STANDARD unit provides sufficient performance in most cases when nutrient medium is filled into "standard" disposable packs.

On the other hand, wherever much higher performance rates are needed, a liquid and/or large-volume packaged nutrient medium is used, the EnbioJet SPEED version should be considered as it offers high effectiveness along with a low level of energy consumption. Then, however, particular attention needs to be paid to whether the medium flowing through does not contain non-dissolved particles which might physically choke the plate exchangers used in that unit.

There is only one heat exchanger in the EnbioJet STANDARD unit, a pipe type, which easily handles small particles or fibers, and the simplicity of the entire system facilitates cleaning and makes operation easier.
